Our story

Our company was founded in 1984 by a group of tourist operators, young but with great experience acquired from their vital contribution in building the success of other organizations working in the field of tourist groups.
These budding entrepreneurs pooled their expertise, enthusiasm and enormous desire to work ceaselessly on the continuous enhancement of their organizational and operating skills.
In forty years they have maintained constant relations with both clients and suppliers, on the one hand interpreting the needs and preferences of groups eager to make the most of their holidays in Italy and Europe with the best possible combinations of quality and price, and on the other selecting the most interesting offers and the most experienced operators, developing working relationships based on maximum collaboration and correctness.

This growth has been accompanied by the constant addition of new staff to cater for the increase in clients, by the use of advanced communication technologies, also in constant evolution, and by participation at trade fairs, exhibitions and workshops in Italy and Europe, the best places where supply can meet demand.
Expenditure on direct advertising has been reduced to a minimum, confident that the fleeting success of a clever slogan can never be matched by the solid publicity that derives from true customer satisfaction and from punctually honouring commitments with suppliers.

This is the story of the success achieved in little more than thirty-nine years by Caravantours, now one of Italy’s 40 major tour operators and a leader in the specific sector of group tourism.

The results achieved can be illustrated by some significant figures, including annual sales of over €25m to over 4000 organized groups, and a total workforce of 4 full-time partners and 44 employees.
Every year some 175,000 Italian clients and 50,000 foreign clients travel with Caravantours, for a total of over 550,000 Italian and about 200,000 foreign presences.
